I have been here at Young World since my mother purchased it in 1989. I am a third-generation preschool teacher and have always known what I wanted to do for a career. As soon as I was legal to work at Young World (16), I began working as a teaching assistant after school. After graduating from high school, I attended Holyoke Community College and worked full-time. Over the years, I have been an assistant teacher to many mentors, including my Nana. I graduated with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 1998. I returned to school in 2016 and earned my Bachelor’s degree through the American Women’s College at Bay Path University in 2020. I always knew I would follow in my mother’s footsteps, but I didn’t realize it would happen so quickly. After the 2020 Quarantine, I reopened Young World with the help of most of the staff that we had when we closed. I can say that Young World has been very successful over the past 36 years; we have alumni working for us and sending their children here. I live in Easthampton with my Partner, Tom, and our four-footed baby, Sammy. I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, and relaxing in my spare time.
