The Forest Friends

The three-year-old classroom is where many start their Young World journey. This classroom is where children discover their independence. The teachers encourage self-help skills: such as dressing themselves for outside, taking care of their belongings, and toileting. They begin to learn songs sung during calendar and morning meetings; they are sung in every classroom throughout the center.

The Little Critters

In this classroom, students will have the opportunity to learn through various learning centers and hands-on experiences. The curriculum is designed and geared towards the emotional and social interactions of the children. The emphasis of our daily activities and our overall objectives is on learning rather than teaching.

The Hoot Owls

The Hoot Owls classroom is where the children will begin getting prepared for Kindergarten. The children will be able to observe and use appropriate ways of interacting in a group. There are a wide array of learning games for the children to work on independently or cooperatively with their peers in this classroom.

The Cosmic Kids

In the Cosmic Kids’ classroom, the environment is set up with a more complex, structured schedule that still includes playtime and reflects and prepares a child for what they will encounter when attending Kindergarten. The children in this classroom will continue building on the foundational skills they began working on in other classrooms.

We loved their personal approach to get to know the unique qualities of our kids, what communication styles worked best for us, and always greeted us as part of the family! We came to Young World in the height of a pandemic frantically looking for a new place for our then 3 year old to have full time care. We are so glad that we found Young World! Jess and all of the staff are always very communicative with us and willing to answer any questions we have and make any adjustments we need in caring for our child. Through pandemic protocols and beyond they value safety and we are never worried about the level of care and supervision our child is getting. We are an LGBTQ family and love that everyone at Young World is respectful and inclusive of us and our kids. Our child adores all of the staff here and especially the director Jess and her recent teacher Kerry. Our child also has a food allergy and they work collaboratively with us and her to ensure her needs are met. We highly recommend Young World for your child care needs!!

Our daughter has been going to Young World for almost 3 years and we couldn’t be happier. The staff are great with the kids. There are always planned activities and a daily routine, which we love as compared to other places who are just a free for all. Weekly emails as to what any activities will be and flyers posted at the door of any events in the class. Classrooms are neat, tidy and clean, our daughter loves the kitchen playset. Snacks are provided for the kids and they learn basic table manners. Bus transportation is provided to and from the school for after/before school. Jessica is always available for any questions or concerns you might have and is quick to respond to emails. She really cares about each family and the center as a whole.

I have been very happy with all of the different classes, teachers, and experiences that the kids have had over the years. We have also been so grateful for your program’s wonderful philosophy and curriculum. It is a relief to see young children allowed to explore and learn at their own pace, rather than being pressured into academic tracks too early. The staff seem so well organized, and the amount of planning and preparation they do seems extraordinary. I have noted how low your staff turnover is, and I know that it is one sign of a very well run program.
